Additionally, Amanda today received a voice mail message from Sean Carroll (617) 368-1161 at the Department of Telecommunications and Cable confirming that city council approval of Cable Access Committee members is not required under 207 CMR 3.01(3), the same regulation cited above. For these reasons, in my opinion, the Mayor has the authority to appoint the members of the CAC and the City Council should not vote on these appointments.
