On September 12, 2023, I held a remote pre-hearing conference which was attended by the General Counsel of the states Human Resources Division (HRD) and the MPD Police Chief. Counsel for the local superior officers union emailed the Commission prior to the pre-hearing and indicated that the union took no position on the petition.

Specifically, section 5 states that Where the Union believes that a job specification or the name of a job title is either inaccurate or inappropriate, it may present information regarding such inaccuracies or inappropriateness to the Human Resources Division for review and adjustments as needed to the job specification and/or job title.
