The Framingham Department of Public Health will be relocating from the Fuller Middle School to the Callahan Center. The reason for the move is that the contruction company building the new Fuller School will be using the Department of Public Health's current offices at Fuller. This is an interim move. The city explored a number of different options including the Perini building and even City Hall which is already full.

Wong" Date April 1, 2019 at 3:31:25 PM GMT Dear Department of Public Health and Mayor Spicer, We had a resident call this morning to let us know that the construction at the YMCA is causing the rats to appear in her neighborhood. Her neighbor has seen a surge in rat activity, and there is currently a dead rat under a bucket to the left of the house. (Is there any chance of removal by the city?)

We are working closely with the state Department of Public Health (MDPH) on this situation. The service station is an open area with numerous travelers passing through every day. We identified 20 employees who were working during the infected persons presence last Wednesday afternoon there. MDPH is sending vaccines to us to hold an employee vaccination clinic tomorrow. For travelers, we are following MDPHs advice on their press release.

For instance, I understand the DPW crew often translates door hangers into multiple languages and the Department of Public Health translates a number of different documents yearly to ensure they are serving as many residents as possible. Of course divisions are paying to have materials translated. It would be smart if we could centralize written translations rather than each division translating documents catch-as-catch-can.
No Change in Mosquito Status; Still CRITICAL, But Mosquito Levels Decreased Framingham remains in CRITICAL risk level for EEE, as designated by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. Routine testing for mosquito samples ended on 10/11/2019, and all spraying (including aerial and ground level) ended last month. The cooler weather has reduced mosquito activities, but it has not eliminated it yet.
