On November 10, 2018, Romeo filed an appeal with the Civil Service Commission to be placed at the top of the eligible list for sergeant, and to be allowed to take an upcoming promotional examination for lieutenant, notwithstanding the civil service law, which states in part, that only those in the next lower title (ie. sergeant) are eligible to sit for the promotional examination (ie. lieutenant).
Additionally, | have matters pending at the Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD) and the Civil Service Commission (CSC). All these matter s deal with continued retaliation since my reinstatement approximately 9 months ago. Additionally please see MUP-19-7277 that was most recently filed at the DLR. cc: Howard L. Prior to the exam, on November 10, 2018, Romeo filed an appeal with the Civil Service Commission.
Furthermore, Romeo appealed the Towns decision and the Civil Service Commission denied it.
