Prior to making an intermittent appointment, an appointing authority must requisition a certification from states Human Resources Division (HRD) for the number of permanent intermittent vacancies that are to be filled. Upon receipt of such a requisition, HRD issues a Certification to the appointing authority from the eligible list for the entry level position of Firefighter or Police Office, as applicable.
