The BPU alleges as their retaliation charge the following: On or about May 16, 2017, Chief Atstupenas notified the Worcester County District Attorneys Office (d) of an internal investigation related to a concern for the candor of Officer Hurwitz despite being cleared of untruthfulness allegations (or any misconduct) by the Board of Selectmen two weeks prior.
On or about May 16, 2017, Chief Atstupenas notified the Worcester County District Attorneys Office of the Internal Affairs investigation report related to a concern for the truthfulness of Hurwitz for possible distribution to defense attorneys in criminal cases. 26. STATEMENT OF THE FACTS Officer Belliveau has worked for the Millbury Police Department Jor the past 20 years, On ot about December 12, 2015, the Millbury Police Department with a number of other area police departments, ran a gun buyback program called Guns for Goods organized by the Worcester County District Attorney's office, The program allowed citizens to drop off their unwanted firearms and receive a grocery store gift card.
OF FACTS On or about December 12, 2015, the Millbury Police Department, along with sixteen (16) other area local police departments, participated in a Guns for Goods gun buyback program organized by UMass Memorial Health Care and the Worcester County District Attorneys Office. (See Ex. T1.)
