As of the date of his appeal to the CSC, Sheas name has been placed on the eligibility list for hiring for both positions in the cities of Malden and Medford and in the town of Winchester. In seeking to be designated as a disabled veteran for purposes of civil service employment, Shea claims eligibility pursuant to a portion of the governing statute which defines the term veteran for purpose of preference in employment selection.

Liu sought to recover from Mystery real-estate taxes shed had paid to the City of Malden for areas that, owing to the misplaced Demising Wall, Mystery occupied. In her new Count V, Dr. Liu sought to recover from Mystery fees shed paid to the Condominium Trust for the same Mystery-occupied zones. Dr. Liu brought both claims on a theory of unjust enrichment.
