Summary
Under the Massachusetts Public Records law, SOURCE media is seeking all documents, minutes, files, email correspondence related to the 2020 Complete Count Committee in regards to the 2020 US Census. The Committee's own timeline (attached) shows a plan was completed in 2019. SOURCE wants all minutes of any meetings, and any Zoom recordings made. Also the digital news outlet wants all emails from the Mayor, the Citizen Participation officer and any other Spicer employee on outreach efforts to make sure Framingham was accurately counted in the 2020 Census. The fact that Framingham did not reach the 2019 Census Bureau estimate and was almost 2000 individuals below could mean the loss of millions of dollars over the next decade. SOURCE media is requesting a waiver of all fees for these documents, as a digital news media outlet. Disclosure of the requested information to the news outlet is in the public interest because it is likely to contribute significantly to public understanding of the operations or activities of the government.  The Public Records Law requires you to provide me with a written response within 10 business days.  If you cannot comply with my request, you are statutorily required to provide an explanation in writing on why a time extension is being requested Any document withheld needs to specifically state the reason under the law why it is not being provided. 157 responsive records
