I am a journalist seeking copies of the following records under the Massachusetts Public Records Law (M. G. L. Chapter 66, Section 10):
- A complete organizational chart of the Everett Public Schools as of 2018 or 2019;
- The school department's budgets from FY 2017 to FY 2019, as well as any proposed budget or supporting documents for FY 2020;
- Any expense reports filed in the name of former superintendent Fred F. Foresteire from the years 2015 to 2018;
- Any emails from between September 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018, to or from the address fforesteire@everett.k12.ma.us, that include any of the following words: "attack," "bitch," "cash," "grope," "fake," "liar," "lie," "money," "quit," or "union."
- Any emails from between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2018, from the address fforesteire@everett.k12.ma.us addressed to tabruzzese@everett.k12.ma.us, apanarese@everett.k12.ma.us, mcardello@everett.k12.ma.us or bdonofrio@everett.k12.ma.us.
If these records are available electronically, in their native form (an Excel spreadsheet, database, etc.) I would prefer them in that way.
I understand that some records will become available sooner than others. I would like to be provided with each individual record as it becomes available.
I recognize that you may charge reasonable costs for copies, as well as for personnel time needed to comply with this request. If you expect costs to exceed $10.00, please provide a detailed fee estimate.
The Public Records Law requires you to provide me with a written response within 10 business days. If you cannot comply with my request, you are statutorily required to provide an explanation in writing. That includes citing a specific exemption explaining why any redactions are made.
