Plan Description The System is a cost-sharing multiple-employer public employee retirement system established under Massachusetts General Laws (MGL), Chapter 32, and is regulated by the Massachusetts Public Employee Retirement Administration Commission (PERAC). The System is a defined benefit pension plan that covers eligible employees of its member employers.

The System issues a publicly available unaudited financial report in accordance with guidelines established by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (Commonwealth) Public Employee Retirement Administration Commission (PERAC).

(A) Chapter 66 Section 10B The home address, personal email address and home telephone number of law enforcement, judicial, prosecutorial, department of youth services, department of children and families, department of correction and any other public safety and criminal justice system personnel, and of unelected general court personnel, shall not be public records in the custody of the employers of such personnel or the public employee retirement
