Plan Description The System is a cost-sharing multiple-employer public employee retirement system established under Massachusetts General Laws (MGL), Chapter 32, and is regulated by the Massachusetts Public Employee RetirementAdministration Commission (PERAC). The System is a defined benefit pension plan that covers eligible employees of its member employers.
The System issues a publicly available unaudited financial report in accordance with guidelines established by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (Commonwealth) Public EmployeeRetirementAdministration Commission (PERAC).
