Grievance Procedure settlement of a dispute between the parties A. The purpose of this Article is to provide an orderly method for the the provisions of this Agreement.
If the grievance is settled at any step of the grievance procedure, the settlement shall be so noted on the grievance forms and signed by the representatives of the parties who reached the settlement. If a grievance is not settled at any step, the answer of the Town shall be written on the form and presented to the Union as provided in Section 2. 18 Hingham Fire Dept. 2014 -2017Collective Bargaining Agreement Section 4.
Any employee may use this grievance procedure with or without the Union's assistance but no grievance settlement made as a result of an individual processed grievance shall contravene any provision of this Agreement.
