GRIEVANCE AND ARTICLE 4 ARBITRATION PROCEDURE SECTION 1 The purpose of this Article is to provide an orderly method for the settlement of grievances, which are disputes between the parties over a claimed violation of a specific provision of this Agreement. Grievances must be processed in accordance with the following steps, time limits, and conditions set forth in this article.
Step 2 - If no satisfactory settlement of the grievance is reached at the first step, the grievance may be appealed to the Executive Director. Such appeal shall be taken in writing and shall be submitted to the Executive Director within seven (7) working days of the receipt of the answer at the first step of the grievance procedure. Absent timely filing, the right to appeal shall be deemed waived.
