The minutes summarize the complainants comments as follows: Jesse Wiegand said he had called the Attorney Generals office and spoke to an attorney about the Open Meeting Law complaint he had filed several months ago. He had been told that they could not address related issues because they were not in his original complaint. He opined that Robyn had lied about going into executive session to discuss the newly filed lawsuit with AT&T.

Werlins proposed response, which was seconded by Trust member Cindy Boundy, and the Trust unanimously voted to provide the proposed response to the Attorney Generals Office. Mr. Werlin then asked for a motion to adjourn which motion was made by Ms. Boundy and seconded by Ms. Napior. The Trust did not vote on this motion; rather, Mr. Werlin simply announced that the meeting was adjourned after the motion had been made and seconded.

HRD and the Attorney Generals Office had apparently a history of litigation over c 126 18A and had court decisions interpreting the language of the statute. Admittedly, the Sheriff's Office had interpreted the language differently from HRD. HRD interprets Assault Pay to be the difference between a correction officer's Workers Compensation pay, the average weekly wage, and his straight salary.
