The parties have reached a tentative settlement but we are still working out the details of the written agreement. Given the schedule for approvals and vacation schedules, the parties request that the date for filing the Motions on Deferral be postponed until September 9th in hopes that the parties can have sufficient time to work out the settlement and avoid the need for the DLR to go forward with both charges by the town and the union.
The parties have reached a settlement and both wish to withdraw the charges. I am sending this email with the consent of the Town's legal counsel Doug Louison and he is copied on this email. Howard Lenow Sent from my iPad
In contrast, the grievance filed by the Union which the Town acknowledged in paragraph 14 of the charge of prohibited practice relates to the Unions assertion that the Town reneged on an agreed upon resolution of a settlement agreement. The grievance and its resolution would not address that substantive charges asserted by the Town in its charge of prohibited practice.
