We acknowledge that aspects of Open Meeting Law compliance can be particularly challenging for a commission whose commissioners are full-time employees who work out of the same office and are responsible for the day-to-day operation of a state agency.
Norton requested all complaints and disciplinary records on [four identified] officers who testified in [a specified] Key License Appeal with the Massachusetts GamingCommission[.] Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Mr. Norton petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR24/2013, was opened as a result. Despite being notified of the opening of this appeal, it remains unclear whether the Department has provided a response.
