During the settlement discussions, it was shown that half of the contracts in comparable communities have a 40 hour work week. In addition, the dispatchers in Chelmsford have this type of provision for their hours of work. Because of their significantly different work schedule, it would be inappropriate to use firefighters as a comparable on this issue. Award.
