Christiansen requested all submitted paperwork for school construction funding from the Massachusetts SchoolBuildingAuthority for the last four times that Milton has submitted a request. Claiming to not yet have received responsive records, Ms. Christiansen petitioned this office and this appeal, SPR23/1015, was opened as a result. Subsequently, the Town provided a response on May 15, 2023 to Ms. Christiansens request.

Clancy provided an update about a phone conversation with an official from the Massachusetts SchoolBuildingAuthority (MSBA) regarding a Rowe proposal. On March 29, 2012, Chair Abbott replied to the email to provide an update on the Board's discussion regarding the same MSBA project.
Thereafter, the Stoughton Elementary School Building Committee requested permission from the Massachusetts School BuildingAuthority, which had already approved the project, for the Town to revote the issue of funding the project. At some point the Town Manager, Thomas Calter, formed the Group to receive and vet information regarding the school building project with the goal of publishing a report to be shared with the public in November.
The Committee held another meeting on March 30 during which it discussed and voted on granting authority to the superintendent to submit Statement of Interest forms to the Massachusetts SchoolBuildingAuthority for the construction and/or renovation of the district's elementary schools.
In reaching this determination, we reviewed the original complaint, the response, the Massachusetts School BuildingAuthoritys (MSBA) website, the Complainants public records requests and responses thereto, a video recording of the September 23 community forum, and the Subcommittees meeting minutes.
