Springfield Technical Community College made a determination in the Spring of 2020 that while remote course offerings were needed for Spring 2020, it would not offer Remote courses after the Spring semester.
In or about late April 2020, Springfield Technical Community College and North Shore Community College began limiting their appointments to teach classes in the Summer Session of 2020 to faculty who had previously taught online or had been previously trained to teach online. 10. The action described in paragraph 9, above, unilaterally imposes a qualification to teach courses without prior notice and bargaining to impasse or agreement. 11.
The Spring 2020 MOA mainly addressed novel sick pay issues, travel guidelines stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic, and the parties obligations with converting in person courses to Remote Courses in the middle of the Spring 2020 semester. 2 The Charge cited allegations against Springfield Technical Community College.
