Buruca: I have received the petition of Attorney Kathryn Ohren appealing the response of the Suffolk County District AttorneysOffice (Office) to a request for public records. G. L. c. 66, 10A; see also 950 C.M.R. 32.08(1). On December 16, 2021, Attorney Ohren requested the file in Commonwealth v. Daniel Harris, 0884CR 11265. At the time of the appeal, the Office did not respond and Attorney Ohren petitioned this office.
The Department provided the contact information for the Suffolk County District AttorneysOffice, as well as the Supreme Judicial Court and the Department of Correction. The Department further states that the records are exempt under Exemptions (a), (c), and (f). Current Appeal In her appeal petition, Attorney Carey contends that the Department has a duty to provide responsive records to her request.
