ARTICLE XXXI INSERVICE TRAINING All employees shall be required to participate in yearly inservice training as set out in the guidelines of the Municipal PoliceTrainingCommittee. This training shall include at least forty hours of firearms and/or weapons training and qualification, and training in radar, Breathalyzer, CPR, first responder, and other appropriate techniques and technologies.

If a new EMPLOYEE has completed the Full-time Basic Recruit Academy training for full-time municipal police officers as approved and certified by the Municipal PoliceTrainingCommittee (MPTC), OR if the new EMPLOYEE has obtained a waiver of permanent exemption excusing that EMPLOYEE from MPTC Basic Police Recruit Academy Training, the new EMPLOYEE may start at step "A2" on the wage scale.

Section 13 Supervisory Training School Selected Superior Officers will be given a schedule for Supervisory Training School Sessions when published by the school or the Municipal PoliceTrainingCommittee. The superior officer shall select any open session to attend within the upcoming school year.
