Re: Massachusetts Public Records Request
This is a request under the Massachusetts Public Records Law (M.G.L. Chapter 66, Section 10). I am requesting that I be provided with any and all documents which indicate the following.
1. Whether the Town of Greenfield has accepted the provisions of G.L. Chapter 258, Section 13;
2. How many public employee unions have members who work for the Town of Greenfield, including its school system, and how much time is pent ona monthly basis by employees of the Town in the process of deducting such union dues and transferring the resulting fees to the relevant unions;
3. What is the approximate average salary of the employees involved in such process;
4. Has the Town of Greenfield collected service fees (aka agency fees) at any point during the last five years and, if so, how many employees and such fees; and,
5. What was the date the Town of Greenfield stopped collecting service fees?
I recognize that you may charge reasonable costs for copies, as well as for personnel time needed to comply with this request. If you expect costs to exceed $10.00, please provide a detailed fee estimate.
