Under the Massachusetts Public Records Law, the digital news media outlet is requesting screenshots of the Outlook (Google calendar, or what other platform the city uses) for the following individuals for the following dates:
Individuals: Mayor Yvonne Spicer, Jennique Horrigan, Thatcher Kezer, Kelly McFalls, Hannah Woit, Todd Palmer, & Alaa Abusalah
Dates: August 25 through September 2, 2021
The city-maintained calendars are documents and included under the state's public records law.
All meetings the Mayor (or any Spicer administration employee) are considered public.
All Zoom meetings, 1-1 meetings, all department meetings, meeting with department heads, speaking engagements, events, and meetings with citizens are part of the public record.
While phone numbers of private citizens meeting with the administration could be redacted, the names of those individuals are public.
The calendar if redacted, must explain specifically why the redaction under the law.
