Summary

Under the Massachusetts Public Records Law (and the Freedom of Information Act) SOURCE media is seeking the purchase and sales agreement (contract) between the City of Framingham/Mayor Yvonne Spicer and Centercorp Retail Properties/Andy Rose for the property in Nobscot where the chapel once stood and signed in 2019. Source could not find the contract on the City's website. Disclosure of the requested information to the news outlet is in the public interest because it is likely to contribute significantly to public understanding of the operations or activities of the government. The Public Records Law requires the City to provide the news outlet with a written response within 10 business days, and the law indicates that the City should provide documents when readily available..  If you cannot comply with the request, you are statutorily required to provide a detailed explanation in writing. Please see attached documents.
