Under the Massachusetts Public Records Law, SOURCE media is seeking list of all COVID gathering fines issued by the health department For February 2021
The media outlet --from a previous FOIA requests knows that this is kept in a spreadsheet -- is requesting the same for the new dates. Please also provide the updated spreadsheet on payment of fines between Labor day 2020 and January 31, 2021
SOURCE Requested the data for the month of January 2021 on February 1, via a FOIA and is still awaiting a response as of tonight, March 3 at 8:45 p.m. SOURCE has appealed this delay in response to the state.
As a representative of the news media, SOURCE requests a waiver of all fees for this request.
Disclosure of the requested information to the news outlet is in the public interest because it is likely to contribute significantly to public understanding of the operations or activities of the government during this pandemic.
The Public Records Law requires you to provide me with a written response within 10 business days.
If you cannot comply with my request, you are statutorily required to provide an explanation in writing.
The Health Department has attached all the documents regarding this request.
Pursuant to MGL Chapter 4 Section 7 Clause 26 (C) I have redacted the applicants home address, city, state, zip code, email address and telephone number. The reason being is the sited statue says in part “…information, also any other materials or data relating to a specifically named individual, the disclosure of which may constitute and unwarranted invasion of personal privacy.” Those things redacted fit into this category.
