Request #2020-0879 (Framingham, MA - Clerk)

Request for public records made to City of Framingham by Alison Bosma.

Agency
City of Framingham
Summary
Good afternoon! This is Alison Bosma with the MetroWest and Milford Daily newspapers. Pursuant to the Massachusetts Public Records Law, I am requesting the following records: - The number of people who voted in the most recent local election - The number of people who voted by mail in the most recent local election - The number of ballots sent out in the most recent local election for mail-in voting - The number of registered voters as of the most recent local election - The same four numbers as above for the 2016 presidential election. For "mail-in," I mean any vote not cast in person at a poll. I'm thinking, for Framingham, that this will mean absentee voting only, as you did not have a local election during the pandemic, when early voting by mail was encouraged. Please call or email if that doesn't make sense. Please send the records by email if possible. If you expect the cost to exceed $10, please provide a detailed estimate before compiling. Please email me if you need further clarification or information to fulfill my request. Thank you! Information you requested can be found in the attached documents. As far as data on vote "by mail," as you requested, the options were only for Early Voting (in person or by mail, available only for certain elections, not local) and Absentee Voting (in person or by mail).
