This is Alison from the Milford and MetroWest Daily newspapers. I'm looking for data for a story I'm working on.
This is very similar to a request for information the City Clerk's office helped me with last year (I'm looking to fill in the data gap between then and now).
Pursuant to the Massachusetts Public Records Law (M. G. L. Chapter 66, Section 10), I am requesting the following electronic records:
- Lists of the people who voted (might be found in a voter extract) in any local, state, and federal elections and primaries held after November 7, 2017 to the most recent. (I have the November 7, 2017 info). I need the lists to include voter IDs.
If necessary, I can accept just the voter IDs per election. I'm looking to write a data-backed story on whether young voters are voting more than they used to, and voter IDs let me know the age of folks who voted.
Please email records, in Excel or .txt, to abosma@wickedlocal.com. If you expect costs to exceed $10.00, please provide a detailed fee estimate.
