Dear Ms. Moller:
Attached is the response to your Request No. 2019-0081. I understand from the Framingham Police Department (P. Grigas) that you picked up all of the associated photographs, video and audio recordings the day you filed the Request.
In addition, we are also copying the following which is the statement from the Mayor's Office:
MCR Labs Violation Statement:
On Sunday, January 13, around 9:30 p.m., a member of
the Framingham Police Department was investigating a car parked on a curb at 85
Speen Street, where MCR Labs is located. MCR Labs is a marijuana testing
facility licensed by Massachusetts and hosted by Framingham to conduct
marijuana testing under a host agreement issued by the City.
According to the police report, after checking the
vehicle for occupants, the officer looked inside the unlocked dumpsters near
the parked car. In the dumpsters, he observed vials containing extracted THC and
usable marijuana.
This is in violation of the General Operating
Requirements for Marijuana Establishments. The City of Framingham has requested
that the Cannabis Control Commission immediately investigate the violation. Any
further questions about this matter should be referred to the Cannabis Control
Commission.
In the spirit of transparency and prudence, Mayor
Yvonne M. Spicer took fast action. “I’m confident that MCR will address the
violation swiftly with the Commission,” said Mayor Spicer.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Very truly yours,
Michele M. Conway
