Office of the City Council 150 Concord Street Framingham, MA 01701 Dear Records Custodian: Pursuant to the Massachusetts Public Records Law (M. G. L. Chapter 66, Section 10), I write to request access to and copies of any written or electronic communications sent or received by members of the City Council concerning police department employee Brian Simoneau from the period June 23, 2018 through July 31, 2018. I request these records be provided in digital form and transmitted by email or portable storage media, such as a flash drive. If you anticipate any payment will be necessary to obtain these materials, please notify me in advance of fulfilling my request and provide a detailed estimate of the charges. If your agency does not maintain these public records, please let me know who does and include the proper custodian's name and address. As provided by the open records law, I will expect your response within ten (10) business days. See Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 66, Sec. 10(b). If you choose to deny this request, please provide a written explanation for the denial including a reference to the specific statutory exemption(s) upon which you rely. Also, please provide all segregable portions of otherwise exempt material. Thank you for your assistance. Please contact me if I can help clarify the records I am seeking.
