Summary

I am requesting a copy of the resignation letter by Joao "John" Freitas from the Framingham License Commission. If it is not time stamped, what day was it submitted to the appointing authority (mayor's office). The letter was submitted to the Mayor's office this month. I will take an electronic copy of the resignation letter. The Public Records Law requires you to provide me with a written response within 10 business days. If you cannot comply with my request, you are statutorily required to provide an explanation in writing. Secondly, do you know if the Mayor notified the City Clerk's office and the City Council of the resignation and on what day? This letter was submitted on August 13, 2018. I do not know how the the City Clerk or City Council were informed of Mr. Freitas resignation, but the letter was sent to our Licensing Coordinator directly. I should be able to follow-up with more information regarding this.
