Summary

Hi there. I'm a reporter at Boston (Fox) 25 News and I am requesting the 911 audio call from October 18 involving a dispatcher who was just put on leave. A mother called asking for help for her baby, who had difficulty breathing. The mother was told to drive to the hospital. We would like transparency to hear what really happened as we cover this issue. Please email me the call to litsa.pappas@coxinc.com as soon as you can. Thank you! -Litsa Pappas Enclosed please find a redacted version of the audio file for the E-911 call responsive to your public records request of October 18, 2017.  The audio has been redacted pursuant to G.L. c. 4, §7, cl. 26th, exemption (c), which exempts “personnel and medical files or information; also any other materials or data relating to a specifically named individual, the disclosure of which may constitute an unwarranted invasion of personal privacy” from the definition of public records.  Portions of the call discuss the medical condition and treatment of an individual, which is medical information.  Consequently, those portions have been removed from the audio file of the call pursuant to exemption (c) and are being withheld from the Town’s response to your request. Please note that you have a right to appeal the Town’s response to your request through the administrative process provided by the Supervisor of Public Records in 950 CMR 32.08 as well as by instituting a civil action in the superior court pursuant to G.L. c. 66, § l 0A.
