This is a request under the Massachusetts Public Records Law (M. G. L. Chapter 66, Section 10). I am requesting that I be provided a copy of the following records: The city's final payroll for 2022 in an Excel document. This request includes base pay, gross pay and overtime pay for all municipal workers - general municipal, fire, police and schools - and the workers' first and last names along with their department and job titles. No cost should be associated with this request because all the information provided will be used to inform the taxpaying public. If a cost is anticipated, please contact me first before moving ahead with this request to state the reason why you charge so we can also inform the public. The Public Records Law requires you to provide me with a written response within 10 business days. If you cannot comply with my request, you are statutorily required to provide an explanation in writing.
