I am requesting all documents pertaining to the procedure and processes for placing a staff member on leave.  I want any school committee policies , superintendent documents, assistant superintendent documents, notes, memos or anything else that pertains to placing a teacher or staff member on leave or for any disciplinary action.   December 11, 2017     John Salmon 3 Marinel Avenue North Chelmsford, MA  01863   FOIA Request No. 2017-0081   Dear Mr. Salmon:   The Chelmsford Public Schools, through the superintendent or building administrator, may place an employee on administrative leave with pay in order to investigate alleged misconduct by an employee, as such authority is within the administrators’ ability under the Massachusetts General Laws.  Such a decision is made prior to a determination of whether the alleged misconduct occurred in order to allow the district to thoroughly investigate the matter without the employee being present.   Sincerely,     Jay Lang, Ed.D.
